Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick pulled of an impressive win on Sunday at Talladega taking advantage of the last lap crash featuring race leader Michael McDowell . The win was really special for the TRD team as finally their team owner Michael Jordan was able to witnesses one live and that to a Jumpman brand sponsored car.

Michael Jordan along with Tyler Reddick’s four-year-old son Beau was the highlight on the victory lane. They were celebrating the No:45 Camry’s win like it was the first ever and even shared a wholesome moment together. Now ex-NASCAR racer Kyle Petty has come forth explaining how significant are the MJ moments for the sport.

Petty pointed out that having such an iconic individual like Jordan on the victory lane as a huge moment for the sport. He pointed out that NASCAR got a lot of media attention because of the ex-NBA Champion’s presence. The eight times Cup race winner thanked the duo for being the reason for new attention the sport is getting.

But to have an iconic basketball player, an iconic individual like Michael Jordan go to victory lane the following week for his first trip with his team, 23XI, with his driver, Tyler Reddick, is a huge moment for the sport. It’ll be played out on sports pages and on TV all across America today. You can count on it. Thank you, Tyler Reddick and Michael Jordan. Kyle Petty said via NASCAR.

The race last week at Texas featured a huge moment as well

It’s the second week in a raw the NSASCAR PR team has some viral contents to share and take advantage of it because of the race result. Last week Chase Elliott, the most popular driver of the sport, won the race and got a lot of media attention. According to Petty the MJ movement is obviously is the bigger one.

That’s huge for me. That is huge for this sport. When we go back to last week and we see our most popular driver, Chase Elliott, go to victory lane I think everybody thought, ‘What a great day for the sport. Our Mr. popularity is back in victory lane.’ Kyle Petty said.

NASCAR seems really lucky about having Chase Elliott and Tyler Reddick as winners in the last two weekends. This has helped the attention to shift away from the fact that racing was really underwhelming. But the sanctioning body has to be aware of the fact that it can’t happen every week and issue with Next-Gen cars has to be fixed.
