Watch: Denny Hamlin makes a bold prediction on how many races he would win in 2024
Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin has been the class of the garage in the Cup Series. He is the joint most winner alongside Willaim Byron with the three triumphs and unlike his HMS rival has been in the contention for the win in majority of the races so far this year. Hamlin is probably on the way to have the best season of his career in terms of win tally.

Denny Hamlin’s most recent win came last Sunday at Dover where he masterfully defended the last lap charge of Kyle Larson. After the race, while discussing how many more wins the No:11 Toyota Camry team can secure in the 2024 season, via the Teardown podcast, Journalist Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi predicted four more wins.

In response to it, the three times Daytona 500 winner pointed out that he expects to see him winning 22 more races this season. The only races he doesn’t see himself on the victory lane are the road course events, which never has been his strong suite. Hamlin knows how good his team is and that they are capable of winning more.

Probably 22 of the next 25, I'm taking out the road courses. Other than that, that's all I'm taking out. Denny Hamlin said via Action Detrimental.

Denny Hamlin’s co-host doesn’t like prediction from Teardown crew

Jarard Allen, the co-host of Action Detrimental and the Social Media manager of Hamlin, pointed out that it would be disappointing if the No:11 team wins only four more races in the next 25 events. He expects his boss to win more races in the 2024 season.

They (The Teardown) would expect you got realistically, you would win four of the next 25. And if you won four, that would be a seven win season. And then that would actually probably be pretty disappointing. If you only won four of the next 25 races based on how you're running. Jarard Allen said.

If Denny Hamlin can keep the pace and execution he has now, he could easily end the season with at least 10 wins. But as the season progress a lot of things would change; hence it would be interesting to see whether the JGR No:11 crew can remain at the top.
